    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Executive Director of the Federation of Industries in Basra, Nahed Al-Zuhairi, announced, on Tuesday, the dismissal of a large number of workers in the province.

    Al-Zuhairi told Al-Furat News: "The disruption of the factories in Basra caused the layoff of a large number of workers in the sector, and there are great restrictions and pressures imposed on the local product." 
    He stressed, "the need for a new economic policy in a successful administration to rehabilitate the factories and factories in the province."
    Al-Zuhairi added, "Custom duties must be imposed on the importer in order to support the local product."
    He pointed out, "The Ministry of Electricity deliberately cuts off power at the height of the industrial work," adding, "The Iraqi industry can compete with the importer if they are invested in the most appropriate manner."
    Al-Zuhairi concluded, "So far, no industrial city has been completed, including in Basra, and it is a mistake to establish these cities on the borders."
