Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers circulated an official letter instructing the concerned authorities to work on completing the procedures for separating the Ministry of Environment from the Ministry of Health.
In August 2021, the Agency’s Minister of Environment, Jassim Al-Falahi, announced the return of the Ministry of Environment as a federal ministry that implements the government’s goals to improve the environmental situation in Iraq.
In 2015, the former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi decided to merge the Ministry of Science and Technology with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Environment with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Municipalities with the Ministry of Construction and Housing, and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities with the Ministry of Culture.
