, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired, on Tuesday, the fourth regular session of the Council of Ministers, and during the session, the most important issues and developments in the country were reviewed, topics on the agenda were discussed, and decisions were issued on them.
The cabinet session for today witnessed the hosting of the advanced cadre of the Ministry of Electricity; To discuss the electric power crisis that the country is currently witnessing, a comprehensive plan for the issue of electricity was presented, including the most important treatments and requirements.
The Council of Ministers hosted the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and the Commander of the Border Forces. During the hosting, the current status of the borders, the security plans for securing them, and meeting all their requirements, increasing the capabilities of our forces to confront security challenges in all their forms, were reviewed.
During the session, the epidemiological report, the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the developments of the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the areas of prevention and health awareness control were reviewed. To limit the spread of the virus, the health efforts made in the face of the current wave of the pandemic, the measures taken to provide the necessary treatments and secure the vaccine, and to urge citizens to commit to prevention and take the vaccine from health outlets spread throughout Iraq.
After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions:
First / transferring the ownership of the plot numbered (3/2), the Karada Maryam district, on which Al-Rasheed Theater is built, which is owned by the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Works and Public Municipalities / Housing Department, to the Ministry of Housing Culture/Department of Film and Theatre, amortization amount.
Second / authorizing the Minister of Agriculture or his authorized representative, to exclude the expenses of the 36 Regional Conference for the Near East and North Africa Region of the FAO from the instructions for implementing government contracts and the instructions for implementing the general budget in force, and any instructions issued by the Ministry of Finance, according to what was stated in the Ministry of Agriculture’s book numbered in the number ( 129 on January 25, 2022.
Third/ The Ministry of Finance will finance 15 billion dinars to the Ministry of the Interior / the Agency for Federal Security Affairs / the Border Guard Forces Command; To enhance security and start the second phase (concrete slabs) for the area between Wadi Al-Ajeeh to the Umm Jerais area, for a distance of 50 km, and contracting the aforementioned project in the manner of direct contracting, excluding the contracting methods from the instructions for implementing government contracts, in implementation of paragraphs (1 and 2) mentioned in The accompanying Federal Office of Financial Supervision book linking the Cabinet Resolution (15 of 2022).
Fourth / Approval of the following:
- The continuation of the Ministry of Migration and Displacement to work by Cabinet Resolution (9 of 2021); To meet the needs of displaced and returning families from displacement and alleviate their burden, until the issuance of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year / 2022, and its instructions.
Fifth / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Social Services (3 for the year 2021), according to the following:
- Approval of the extension of the work of the Council of Ministers Resolution (313 of 2019) regarding contracting companies and contractors when renewing the classification identity, or modifying the degree from the condition of mechanisms for two years, and this decision is implemented starting From the date of its issuance, and the Ministry of Planning has reconsidered the instructions for classifying contracting companies and contractors and listing them in the blacklist.
