Iraq imported jewelry from Turkey worth over $150 million
Shafaq News/ Iraq ranked fourth among the countries importing jewelry from Turkey during the first six months of 2022.
Turkey's exports of the jewelry sector achieved a growth of 9 percent during the first half of 2022, compared to the same period last year, bringing its revenues to about 2.7 billion dollars.
According to the data of the Ministry of Trade and the Council of Turkish Exporters, published by the official Turkish Anadolu Agency, the total Turkish exports during the first half of this year amounted to 126 billion dollars, an increase of 20 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
The data indicated that the value of jewelry exports in the first half of 2022 amounted to two billion and 697 million and 965 thousand dollars, after it was two billion and 476 million and 319 thousand dollars in the same period of 2021.
And the United States ranked first among the countries importing Turkish jewelry during the first half of 2022, with 505 million and 742 thousand dollars.
The UAE came in second place with 478 million and 249,000 dollars, followed by Hong Kong with 282 million and 799 thousand dollars, then Iraq with 152 million and 536 thousand dollars.
