Dollar cash sales decreased in the central bank auction on Sunday, while foreign remittances rose.
Also, “the Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 247 million and 630 thousand and 486 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
In addition, the cash purchase of dollars by banks decreased the value of total sales to reach 18 million and 150 thousand, while the rest of the amount of 229 million and 480,486 dollars went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Also, 34 banks fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, 12 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 134 mediation companies.
