On Saturday, the head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of following up on the tax secretariats file, the most important challenges facing the parliament and the next government.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, Mr. Al-Hakim's office stated that "Ammar Al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, discussed with a delegation of the rights movement headed by Representative Hussein Moanis the developments of the Iraqi political scene, the path of government formation, and the role of the House of Representatives in enacting laws and activating the supervisory performance of the legislative authority," stressing To "proceed with the formation of a national service government capable of achieving the aspirations of the Iraqi people and providing services and job opportunities."
According to the statement, Mr. Al-Hakim called for the maintenance of oversight and investigations with regard to tax secretariats, as resolving this file, revealing its leads, and protecting the people's money are the most important challenges before the House of Representatives and the next government, calling also for parliamentary cooperation and coordination of positions between the wisdom and rights blocs of the two representatives.
