, Mayor of Baghdad Ammar Musa revealed, on Sunday, new details of the army channel project on the Rusafa side, while indicating that it will include children's games and entertainment areas.
Musa said, "The Municipality is working on rehabilitating the Army Canal project, which extends 22 kilometers in the Rusafa side of Baghdad," adding that "the contract with the executing company was settled in 2015 according to Resolution 347 due to the financial crisis the country went through."
He pointed out that "the Municipality worked on dividing the canal and planting it according to the municipal departments that the project passes through," explaining that "the project will include children's games, recreational areas, and pedestrian bridges, according to the self-capabilities and resources available to the Municipality's departments."
Moussa continued, in an interview with the official news agency, which was followed by Mawazine News, that "agricultural work and children's games have been completed," pointing out that "the work in the project is carried out according to the funds available from municipal revenues." Ended 29/N33
