The Integrity Commission announced, on Monday, that its staff had carried out a quality control operation in flagrante delicto in Anbar Governorate.
The Commission's Investigation Department stated, in a statement, that "the Commission's investigation office in Anbar province has received information indicating that there is a person suspected of fraud and illegal business in the Fallujah tax."
And the department continued, "A team from the Anbar Investigation Office, after setting up an elaborate ambush, was able to seize an employee of the tax branch in Fallujah red-handed, pointing out that the operation resulted in the seizure of a large bag containing seals and non-formal transactions."
She drew attention to "organizing a fundamental report, and presenting it with the accused and the seized secrets to the investigating judge specialized in examining integrity cases in Anbar, who decided to detain him pending investigation."
