On Sunday, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and the head of the Iraqi National Project, Jamal Al-Dari, expressed their support for the government of Federal Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani.
A statement issued by the regional presidency stated that Nechirvan Barzani received Al-Dari today in Erbil, and discussed with him “the Iraqi internal situation, the political process, Iraq’s relations with the countries of the region, and the situation in the region in general.”
The statement indicated that the two sides renewed their support for the Iraqi federal government and for the endeavors of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani to implement the government's ministerial platform and solve the country's problems, especially the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad.
The statement added that Nechirvan Barzani and Al-Dari "stressed the need for all Iraqi political parties and forces to strive to achieve security and stability for Iraq."
