The economic expert, Manar Al-Obaidi, called on merchants and importers to open bank accounts and deal with the banking sector to end the problem of the current dollar exchange rate crisis.
Al-Obeidi told Al-Iqtisad News that "it is unreasonable for a merchant to import goods from outside Iraq for hundreds of thousands of dollars, without a name or a bank account," noting that "merchants are now required to establish companies, open bank accounts, and start importing goods." .
He added, "The system for importing goods, which was common, has now changed, and it is behind the high dollar exchange rate."
