Shafaq News/ The coordinator of international recommendations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dindar Zebari confirmed, on Wednesday, that the regional government is proud of the file of "peaceful coexistence and embracing minorities".
Zebari said in a press conference held today in Erbil, which was attended by the Shafaq News Agency reporter, that "an expanded meeting will be held today, with representatives of Parliament, the judiciary and the Public Prosecution in Kurdistan Region to start implementing and applying the international recommendations plan to improve and develop human rights conditions," noting that " This work was initiated by the regional government through its concerned ministries, in coordination with parliament, to review laws and ensure that international obligations are fulfilled.
He added, "The judiciary is also concerned with this matter by accelerating the trial process and ensuring the full independence of the judiciary."
He continued, "Today, we will hold a meeting on the file of hate speech," stressing that "the region was distinguished for Iraq and the international community in terms of peaceful coexistence and embracing minorities."
He pointed out that "there are procedures at the level of ministries and government performance on a daily basis to deal with this file at the level of education, higher education and laws," explaining that "we, as the Kurdistan Regional Government, are proud of this file."
He explained that "under the direction of the prime minister of the region, the government has accelerated the process of implementing the regional plan for human rights," stressing that "there are attempts to develop it."
