    Representative Ali Shaddad said that the activities of the Iraq Climate Conference, which was launched on the land of the city of Basra, Al-Fayhaa, today, Sunday, will include highlighting the most important problems facing the country, such as water scarcity, and developing real solutions for the most vulnerable and affected by climate change, such as Basra Governorate.[/size]
    [size=45]Shaddad pointed out that the conference aims to clarify the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation between Iraq, the United Nations and the countries of the world regarding climate change and addressing its economic, environmental and social impacts.[/size]
    [size=45]Shaddad pointed out that Iraq is among the countries most affected by climate change and suffers from its negative effects resulting from these changes, such as widening desertification, water scarcity, environmental damage and increased population migration.[/size]
    [size=45]It is noteworthy that the Iraq Climate Conference, whose activities are hosted by the Governorate of Basra, which started today, Sunday, will last for two days. In its first session, high-level internal and external delegations participated, presented by the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and the Ministers of Oil, Electricity, Environment, Planning, and Finance, in addition to the United Nations Representative in Iraq, Jenin Plasschaert. And heads of diplomatic missions of a group of different countries.[/size]
