[rtl]Today, Thursday, the Office of the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, announced the completion of the establishment of municipal institutions for the new cities.[/rtl]
[rtl]And the media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement, that, “Based on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, and in line with what was stated in the ministerial curriculum regarding solutions to the housing crisis, and based on Cabinet Resolution No. (23052 on January 25, 2023), which includes assigning governorates In the process of coordination with the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, proceeding with the development of new cities outside the basic designs of the existing cities. Municipal institutions have been created for the new cities, and the file has been submitted to the Council of Ministers to complete the approvals and proceed with the necessary infrastructure.
And the statement added: “The Ali Al-Wardi Municipality was established in Baghdad Governorate, Al-Salam Municipality in Al-Najaf Governorate, Al-Mutanabi Municipality in Wasit Governorate, and the New Diwaniyah Municipality in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate.”
And he continued: “The process of completing the transfer of land ownership from the Ministries of Finance and Agriculture to the new municipal institutions is under way, in order to save effort and shorten the procedures, and according to the directives of the Prime Minister, as Specialized committees have been formed in each governorate to follow up on the completion of land preparation and the initiation of urban planning and implementation of infrastructure.” .[/rtl]
