    [rtl]The Ministry of Electricity confirmed that the connection with Jordan will be put into service at the beginning of next July, while clarifying the latest developments regarding the connection agreements with Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Turkey.

    "The connection with Jordan will be ready on July 1, as a first stage, with a capacity of 50 megawatts, reaching the Rutba district in Anbar Governorate, to feed the national grid," said the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Musa, in an interview. with the official agency.

    He explained, "The connection with Jordan required the establishment of an existing wet plume line, part of which passes through Iraqi territory and the other part through Jordanian territory, as it was supposed to enter work on 1/6, but as a result of some weather conditions and as a result of difficult soil and some side related issues.” Jordan has been postponed to 1/7.

    He added, “The connection with Turkey is ready, but we are waiting for the pricing of the service and for it to be suitable for it to enter the force as a first stage. As for the connection with the Gulf, it will be ready.” in the coming period.”

    He pointed out, "Five contracts have been signed regarding the Gulf linkage, and this linkage needs approximately 12 months for the first phase to enter into force."

    He pointed out, "It was agreed during the recent government visit to Saudi Arabia to expand the Arar and Yusufiya stations, which are the connection points with it, as well as an advisory agreement on the nature of the concluded contract," noting that " The first phase will be at a rate of 1,000 megawatts, through the determinants of the connection points and the routes of the lines. which will be completed soon.”[/rtl]
