Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs began connecting the optical cable between its departments and agencies.
The ministry stated in a statement that it had "started the process of extending and connecting the optical cable between the departments and its affiliated bodies, as well as linking with the ministries involved with it within the networking process to implement the data boycott."
She added, "This measure came based on the directives of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, to activate automation and electronic governance."
And she continued, "The Information Technology and Software Department in the Ministry supervised and followed up on the networking process, which is the most important step towards digital transformation and providing the infrastructure for implementing information technology projects and electronic services for beneficiaries."
The Ministry of Labor is one of the first ministries to operate with the automation system, according to the statement.
