    Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, who arrived in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, said that he is looking forward to strengthening relations between the region and Iraq with Azerbaijan.




    Nechirvan Barzani wrote a tweet on his official Twitter account, seen by Shafaq News Agency, in which he said, "I am pleased to visit Azerbaijan and meet President Ilham Aliyev in Baku. I thank the president for his warm welcome."
    "I look forward to strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq with Azerbaijan," he added.
    Upon his arrival in Baku, today, the President of the Kurdistan Region held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and discussed with him the bilateral relations of Erbil and Baghdad with Baku and the promotion of economy and trade exchange between the two countries, in addition to other issues of common interest to both sides.
    The Azerbaijani President had invited President Nechirvan Barzani to visit Baku in a meeting that brought them together on the sidelines of participation in the Munich Security Conference in Germany on February 18.
