    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

    The Electricity and Energy Committee in the Iraqi Parliament called for the dismissal of the negligent and for those responsible for the general outage of the electricity system to be held accountable.

    The committee in a press statement that it “decided to form several committees to follow up the reasons for the interruption of the electrical system throughout the country, as it is not the first time that the system has been subjected to collapse, and through some Information obtained by the committees, it was found that there was a fire that broke out in one of the transport stations in Basra Governorate.” This led to the complete collapse of the system.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The committee affirmed, “preparing recommendations after the committees finish their work, while the recommendations will include changing the defaulters in their work and referring them for investigation, as well as using the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such cases in the future.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]And she called on the Ministry of Electricity to “follow up all its lines during the coming period to avoid such accidents.”[/rtl]
