    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Friday (August 25, 2023), a member of the House of Representatives, Bassem Khashan, said that he monitored four observations about the work of private hospitals in Iraq, while indicating that there is an increase in the death cases of patients in these hospitals.
And Khashan said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "the reality of most private hospitals in Iraq needs a serious review by the Ministry of Health as it is responsible for pushing its management to adhere to general standards, pointing to the recording of four observations, the most prominent of which are the mechanisms for granting licenses that need to be stopped." audit and investigation.
He added, "Recurrent death cases are a matter of concern, and we do not have a list of numbers nationwide, but each case must be investigated, its results explained to the public opinion, and the complaints and appeals of the people in all governorates must be responded to."
Khashan pointed out that "the commitment of private hospitals to the correct standards in providing services is an important matter that cannot be overlooked."

He added, "All these hospitals need great follow-up, because the previous controls for establishing a hospital specified that the area of the hospital should be no less than 600 square meters, and this area is very small. Rather, the area of the National Hospital must be larger than that, and it must contain yards, gardens, and a lot." of other things."
