     An Iraqi Islamic Union accused, on Wednesday, America of spending 100 million dollars a month to stir up national strife in Syria.
    The head of the Union of Muslim Scholars in Diyala, Jabbar Al-Mamouri, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "America is the heir of the old colonizer, referring to Britain that adopts the principle of divide and rule in plundering people's goods and controlling their capabilities by tearing societies apart and pushing them into rivalry and strife."
    He added, "The events in Deir ez-Zor, Syria, are a clear-cut American agenda in order to create national strife between Arabs and Kurds in order to strengthen and extend its control over the oil fields that are looted in broad daylight by American convoys in full view of the whole world."
    He pointed out that "the war between the Kurdish SDF and the Arab clans in Deir ez-Zor is funded by Washington at a cost of up to 100 million dollars in order to deepen strife and fighting in order to create hostility to the greatest extent in order to prevent any paths that lead to the unity of the ranks and thus expel the occupier, pointing out that "The current chaos aims to gain more control over the oil wells."
