    Shafaq News/ Executive Director of Mobile Power Units at General Electric Energy Company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Medhat Al-Marabi, stated on Sunday that the company aims to use jet turbine technology to convert burned gas to produce electrical energy.
    This came during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani, according to what was announced by the Ministry of Oil.
    Al-Merhebi said, according to the statement, that the meeting included discussing the technical offer presented by General Electric for quick solutions to benefit from burned associated gas to produce electrical energy by benefiting from General Electric’s jet turbine technology, and the proposal to sign a framework agreement on the sidelines of the COP28 climate conference.
    In turn, the Minister of Oil stressed the Ministry’s keenness to support rapid energy solutions projects to invest in associated gas and convert it into useful energy, in cooperation with reputable specialized international companies.
