The parliamentary economic: Iraq lost 25 million dollars a day due to delays in adoption of the budget

Confirmed
the Economic Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, Wednesday, that
political differences behind the delay of the adoption of the budget for
the current year 2013, adding that Iraq will lose $ 25 million a day
because of the delay.
Committee member, said Ibrahim Al-Rikabi
told alsumaria news ", that" political differences behind the delay of
the adoption of the budget for the year 2013, "adding that" there are
hidden hands with political aims to delay the budget and not approved. "
Rikabi
said the delay cost the State budget approved losses of up to 25
million dollars a day, in addition to construction and investment
projects stopped and delayed salaries of retirees, as well as damage to
many of the poor ".
Rikabi noted that "the controversial points
of the budget should have been settled, especially as regards benefits
oil companies operating in Kurdistan", stating that "it was agreed to
monitor billion and 500 million dollars in dues to companies in balance
in 2013, in addition to 300 trillion dinars will be agreed upon soon."
And
the House of representatives, currently, the 13th meeting of the second
legislative term of the third legislative year to vote on the federal
budget for 2013.
The Presidency of the House of representatives
adjourned Tuesday (5 March 2013), the 13th session of the second
legislative term of the third legislative year Wednesday, a
parliamentary source said that the speaker of Parliament Osama
Al-nujaifi, the heads of political blocs to an urgent meeting.
