    The Ministry of Transport announced on Sunday that it is working to attract international airlines and increase the use of space corridors in Iraqi airspace.
    Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, Maytham Al-Safi, said in a statement seen by “Al-Ma’aluma”: “The Ministry is working on preparing an integrated plan to attract international airlines and increase the use of space corridors in Iraqi airspace, with the aim of maximizing revenues and supplementing the state’s general budget, as well as stimulating the economic aspect in This field is in line with its orientation on the necessity of developing cadres in accordance with the government program.”
    Al-Safi added, “The General Air Navigation Company, being the entity responsible for monitoring and managing Iraqi corridors and airspace, has taken all its measures to develop its personnel and infrastructure for navigational devices and develop human resources to provide the best services to international and local airlines and enhance air safety for aircraft crossing and departing Iraqi airspace, according to International standards and within the requirements of the Civil Aviation Organization.”
    He explained, "The Ministry is committed to all the recommendations and recommendations issued by international organizations in the field of civil aviation, within the countries of the Middle East, to ensure safer air movement in Iraqi airspace, in addition to improving work by improving the quality of air services it provides and gaining the confidence of air navigation." And international, noting at the conclusion of his speech that work is still ongoing on the new air corridors project linking with the State of Kuwait, by conducting calculations for designing and updating the map of Iraqi air corridors. Ended/25
