    The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, directed this evening, Wednesday (November 29, 2023), “the legal prosecution of anyone who exploits the state’s capabilities to influence voter choices.”
    A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office received by “Baghdad Today” stated that Al-Sudani “chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, in the presence of members of the Council, and discussed the ongoing preparations for holding the provincial council elections scheduled for next December 18, where he directed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to legally prosecute anyone who exploits... The state’s capabilities to influence voter choices, work to prevent any case of extortion, as well as verify reports that there are attempts to exploit beneficiaries of the social protection network in the voter card distribution process and hold those involved accountable.”
    The attendees also discussed "the security situation in the country, and the efforts of the security forces to establish security and stability, by confronting terrorism and pursuing organized crime gangs, in addition to deliberating on a number of files and topics on the agenda."
    The meeting discussed "the job grades allocated to the security and intelligence services in the Federal Service Council, and the tests that are conducted for applicants to benefit from the remaining job grades and to provide the aforementioned agencies with the best capabilities."
    He also discussed “the procedures of the Diwani Order Committee No. (22220) of (2022), regarding studying the committee formed in accordance with the Diwani Order above, provided that there is a permanent supporting and central committee to solve the problems and obstacles related to residency affairs between the Ministries of Interior in the federal government and the regional government.” Kurdstan Iraq". 
    The meeting witnessed "confirming the importance of organizing the movement of military convoys through a book of movements issued by the Joint Operations Command, and checkpoints follow up on this."
