Revealing the mechanism for approving laws.. A representative regrets not approving an important law despite the political consensus

{Politics: Al-Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Arif Al-Hamami, expressed his regret for not approving an important law despite the political consensus on it.
Al-Hamami told {Al-Furat News} agency, “Approval of laws is subject to the first two conditions: that there be agreed-upon laws and other laws of public service, which pass smoothly and easily.”
Al-Hamami added: “As for the laws that require political consensus, the appearance of the Presidency of Parliament and the embarrassment of the political blocs in approving them will result in their completion.”
He pointed out that "the oil and gas law in particular is one of the very important laws, and unfortunately no one has moved anyone towards this law despite the existence of the political agreement when the government was formed, in addition to broken laws that need to move stagnant waters."
