Today, Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iraq, Naseer Mammadov, discussed holding the third session of the joint Iraqi-Azerbaijani committee.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iraq, Naseer Mammadov,” noting that “during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in several fields and sectors.” In addition to discussing the holding of the third session of the joint Iraqi-Azerbaijani committee the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, and the understandings that could emerge from it that will be in the interest of the two friendly peoples.
Mamdov conveyed "the desire of the Azerbaijani government to participate in development and reconstruction projects, after Iraq presented its promising investment opportunities, in a way that strengthens the economic partnership between Iraq and the region. It
was emphasized that facilities will be provided to visitors to the holy shrines, citizens of Azerbaijan and Iraqis who visit Azerbaijan."
