    The Commander-in-Chief of NATO forces in Iraq, General Nicola Piacenti, and the Italian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Michele Camerota, met today, Tuesday, with the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Peshmerga, Lieutenant General Issa Ozir, at the ministry’s office.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting discussed developing relations and the future work of NATO forces and the Italian military team in the Kurdistan Region, and emphasized the continuation of training the Peshmerga and enrolling them in training courses outside the region, especially in Italy.[/size]
    [size=45]The Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Peshmerga praised the international coalition forces in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that allied countries, including Italy, are cooperating with the Kurdistan Region and the Peshmerga forces in the war against ISIS through their advisors.[/size]
    [size=45]He said that the current stage of the Peshmerga forces needs more assistance from friends in the international coalition to build a strong military infrastructure and establish a unified national force committed to military controls in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
    [size=45]He believed that the establishment of this force is a guarantee to enhance and protect the achievements of the Kurdistan Region, as confirmed in a statement by the Ministry of Peshmerga.[/size]
    [size=45]On the other hand, NATO Commander-in-Chief, General Nicola Piacente, said that they are committed, as part of the international coalition’s mission, to working with their partners in the region.[/size]
    [size=45]At the same time, he stressed that their forces will continue to provide advice to the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in the field of training.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the Italian Consul General spoke about the importance of relations between his country and the Kurdistan Region, calling for further expansion and development of relations with the Ministry of Peshmerga and the Kurdistan Government.[/size]
