    Economy News - Baghdad
The US Ambassador to Iraq, Alenia Romanski, confirmed on Thursday that the electricity network in Iraq loses 50% of energy before it reaches homes.
Romanowski said in a post on the It is produced before it reaches homes.
She added, "The United States is working with international companies and organizations such as the International Energy Agency to provide Iraq with new technologies and provide more electricity to more families, especially during the hot summer months."
Last March, Iraq signed three contracts with the German company Siemens to rehabilitate three electrical power plants, as announced by the Iraqi Prime Minister, in a country that witnesses daily power outages as a result of the deteriorating infrastructure.
