Today, Tuesday, the Integrity Commission announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani and the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, had disclosed their financial assets for the year 2024.
The Commission reported in a statement received by “Al-Ma’louma/,” that “the Prevention Department received two disclosure forms.” The financial statements for the current year of the Prime Minister (Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani) and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge (Faiq Zaidan), to be the first officials to disclose their financial liabilities from the heads of the three authorities.”
The Authority urged those included to “expedite filling out the financial disclosure form, and to adhere to the timings stipulated in the articles of the Authority’s effective law,” pointing out that requiring officials to disclose their financial liabilities, and their foreign activities, investments, assets, donations, or large benefits may lead to a conflict of interest. It contributes to strengthening the confidence of the Iraqi people in the government and state institutions.”
The Integrity Media Office noted, “The disclosure by the Chairman of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, and the staff who applied for it of their financial liabilities for the current year, and the submission of their forms, so that the head of the Commission would be the first to disclose the financial assets.” From the heads of independent bodies.”End/25
