    Shafaq News/ The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Wednesday that it had discovered a waste of public money in the Ministry of Water Resources’ purchase of materials without using them for more than a decade.
    The Authority’s Investigation Department reported in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “The Authority’s investigation office in Babil Governorate has formed a team regarding allegations of wasting public money in the purchase by the Ministry of Water Resources - the General Authority for Operating Irrigation and Drainage Projects, of pumps for a financial amount of approximately (5) million dollars without "Use it."
    She added that the team, after obtaining the judicial decision, moved to the company’s headquarters and set the terms of the contract concluded between the General Authority for Operating Irrigation and Drainage Projects and one of the limited general contracting companies, for supplying (5) pumps with all their accessories for an amount of (4,858,745). Millions of dollars.
    She added that the pumps and accessories were not used. Which exposed it to direct harm. As a result of their extinction and leaving them for a period of more than (13) years without use, she pointed out that these materials were affected by rust and corrosion in their bodies, and oil oozed from them, stressing that this led to the waste of public money.
    She noted the preparation of a proper arrest report regarding the operation, which was carried out according to a judicial memorandum, and presenting it to the competent investigating judge. To complete the investigation procedures and determine the negligent party.
