    Baghdad today - Baghdad
    Today, Monday (January 29, 2024), the Presidents of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, and the Council of Ministers, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, stressed the importance of Iraq not being an arena for conflict.
    Al-Sudani's office said, in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani received, today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid."
    The two presidents discussed “the developments taking place in Iraq and the region,” and stressed “the importance of Iraq not being an arena for conflict, and the necessity of working to perpetuate everything that preserves the country’s sovereignty, stability, and security.”
    The statement continued, "The meeting also discussed the general conditions in the country, the progress of implementation of the government program, and a review of government plans and projects for the next stage, which aim to achieve development and improve the living and service conditions of our honorable people."
