    The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, met in Washington, today, Tuesday, with the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the US Senate, Jack Reed, and the prominent member of the Committee, Senator Roger Wicker.[/size]
    [size=45]This was mentioned in a statement issued by the regional government, and added that during the meeting, the two sides agreed on the importance of protecting security and stability in the Kurdistan Region, and continuing to support the Peshmerga forces by the United States and the international coalition.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister expressed his thanks to the United States for its assistance and support, and also stressed the need to respect the constitutional and federal entity of the region.[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee of the US Senate expressed his appreciation for the struggles and sacrifices of the Peshmerga and the people of Kurdistan.[/size]
    [size=45]In addition, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, held a meeting in Washington, today, Tuesday, with representatives of a number of American policy and research centers, institutions and institutes (Think Tank).[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the region.[/size]
    [size=45]According to a statement issued by the regional government, the Prime Minister stressed that Iraq is a federal state, and the constitution and the principles of democracy and federalism must be respected, and the Kurdistan Region must be dealt with as a constitutional entity that falls under the umbrella of the federal system.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister explained that the people of Kurdistan have made huge sacrifices in order to obtain their legitimate and constitutional rights, and will not give up those rights under any pressure or circumstances.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister reiterated the desire of the Kurdistan Region to resolve all controversial issues with the federal government on the basis of the constitution, stressing the importance of securing financial dues and the region’s share through the official and constitutional institutions of the regional government.[/size]
    [size=45]He also stressed the need to resume the region's oil exports and protect its security and stability.[/size]
    [size=45]In another context of the meeting, the Prime Minister addressed the situation in the Kurdistan regions outside the region’s administration, stressing the importance of normalizing the situation in these regions through the implementation of Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution and the Sinjar Agreement.[/size]
