Today, Saturday, the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Faleh al-Fayyad, stressed the importance of “completing the process of building a new Iraq,” protecting its political system, and moving forward with the completion of service, construction, and reconstruction projects.
Al-Fayyad said in a statement, received by Al-Maalomah, that, “On the anniversary of the passing of His Eminence Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim (may he rest in peace), I extend to the family of the Al-Hakim family the sacrificers my deepest condolences and sympathy.”
He added, "On this painful occasion, we must remember the distinguished jihadist roles of the deceased, especially in combating the defunct Baathist regime, and his great efforts in laying the foundations of the state after the year (2003)."
Al-Fayad continued: “Today, we emphasize the importance of completing the process of building a new Iraq, protecting its political system, and moving forward with the completion of service, construction and reconstruction projects in a homeland where security and stability prevail.” Ended/25
