[rtl]Basra / NINA / Specialized professors and researchers discussed in the third joint international scientific conference held by Al-Kunooz University College in conjunction with the College of Law / University of Basra under the title (Legal Mechanisms for the Advancement of the Oil and Energy Sector) with the participation of Iraqi and Arab researchers. In Al-Rataj Hall of Al-Kunoz College.
The Dean of Al-Kunoz University College, Dr. Osama Nazem Al-Abadi, gave a speech in which he emphasized addressing the thorny issues and legislative gaps to which the oil and energy sectors are exposed, and placing them on the table of Parliament and the relevant legislative and executive authorities.
He added, "This third international conference comes within the vital role that contributes to consolidating and supporting the application of laws and addressing the legal gaps that the oil sector suffers from. Pointing out that it is a scientific forum to reveal international and national experiences and expertise and represents an opportunity for research cooperation for workers in this field in Iraq.
It was presented ." A documentary film talked about the history of the establishment of the conference and its achievements in previous sessions.
Five papers were discussed in the conference: the theme of administrative and financial legislation, the theme of private international law, the theme of criminal legislation, the theme of public international law, and the theme of civil law and commercial law.
The joint scientific conference aims to:
1. Studying legislation related to oil and energy at the national level, searching for deficiencies that have been exposed, and working to address them.
2. Studying the bright aspects of those legislations to benefit from them in evaluating the
various oil contracts Starting from licensing rounds and ending with the sale of oil and all the legal aspects related to those contracts.
4. Studying the issue of management and its powers in everything related to oil and energy to protect the public interest.
5. Studying the collateral protection of wealth in Iraq and the means available in Iraqi law.
6. Searching for legislative means that can regulate the production and distribution of clean, renewable energy in Iraq.
7. Coming up with general visions for everything related to the oil and energy sector and delivering recommendations to decision-making centers in Parliament and the state.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Dean of Al-Kunooz University College, Dr. Osama Nazim Al-Abadi, distributed shields and certificates of appreciation to the professors participating in the research and the preparatory and scientific committees for the conference./ End
