Member of the Finance Committee, Jamal Kujar, confirmed today, Monday, that there are no new appointments in the general budget tables.
Cougar said in an interview followed by “Al-Ma’louma” that “the job grade tables have not witnessed any change, indicating that there is a government policy to reduce operational expenses and reduce government laxity, since Iraq has a high rate of employees according to international standards.”
He stated, "International standards confirm the need for a security man and a public service employee for every thousand citizens, while 25% of the Iraqi people receive salaries from the government."
He pointed out that "Iraq is equal to Canada in terms of the number of people, yet the number of its employees is equivalent to a quarter of Iraq's employees." Ended/25
