    [size=45]The text of the Diwani order stated: Based on the powers granted to us under the Constitution, and based on Clause (Fifth) of Article (One) of the Religious Sects Welfare System No. (32) of 1981 and a reference to the decision of the Rusafa Federal Court of Appeal / Personal Materials Court in Karrada No. (4/ Hajjat ​​Tulayya/ 2013) On April 30, 2013, which included the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church assuming responsibility for its endowments, we decided the following:[/size]

    [size=45]Second: Implementing the endowment authority issued by the court above, given that he is in charge of the endowments of the Chaldean Church, and the concerned authorities must take the necessary measures in this regard.[/size]
    [size=45]This comes about a year after the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, issued, on July 8, 2023, a presidential decree withdrawing Republican Decree No. (147) of 2013, regarding the appointment of Patriarch Louis Sako, Patriarch of Babylon over the Chaldeans in Iraq and the world, and in charge of its endowments. .[/size]
    [size=45]Sako then decided to withdraw from the Patriarchal headquarters in Baghdad and go to a monastery in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan region.[/size]
    [size=45]In April 2024, the Chaldean Patriarch in Iraq and the world announced his return to his headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, at the personal invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani.[/size]
