[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi met today, Tuesday, with the new Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan.
Al-Mandalawi stressed in a statement "the importance of strengthening the work of friendship committees and opening prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries, in addition to following up on the implementation of all bilateral agreements between Baghdad and Ankara, especially those related to addressing and organizing the water file and increasing water flows, which were concluded during the recent visit of the Turkish President to Iraq."
The statement added, "The two sides discussed the regional situation and developments facing the region, and stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of the quadripartite memorandum related to the new strategic development road project due to its great economic importance for the countries concerned."
Al-Mandalawi stressed "the importance of raising the level of security, information and intelligence coordination in a way that preserves common interests and respects full sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness between the two neighboring countries." / End H[/rtl]
