[rtl]Basra / NINA / The mayor of Safwan district, west of Basra, Talib Khalil Al-Hassounah, discussed with the administrative deputy of the governor of Basra, Maher Al-Amiri, a number of important files related to projects in the district, including the file of the port's needs in preparation for the Arbaeen visit.
Al-Hassounah said, "We discussed important projects in the sectors of municipalities, roads, bridges, education, health, electricity, water and some other sectors, as well as postponed projects and the possibility of including some of them in the ports' revenues.
He added, "Approval was obtained to add some projects to the ports' revenues, including service roads, two passages between Safwan and Umm Qasr, in addition to rehabilitating the entrance to the military intersection to the second bridge and adding one of the nominated school projects near the Safwan fuel station in the city center.
He continued by saying, "The appendix to the needs of the Safwan border crossing and preparations for the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, were also discussed. The engineering department in the governorate was directed to inspect and implement the needs of the crossing. Al-Hassouna indicated, "Discussing the addition of some roundabouts to the median strip between Safwan, which is currently being implemented by one of the companies and has a percentage of completion. / End[/rtl]
