Today, Saturday, Iraqi Parliament member Hamid Al-Zamili called on the government to sever Iraq's economic relations with Turkey, calling for using the economic card to pressure Turkey to stop its continued violations of Iraq's sovereignty.
Al-Zamili told Al-Maalouma Agency, "There must be a government response that is proportionate to the size of the actions carried out by Turkey, indicating that the presence of Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory is illegal."
He added, "The government must file a complaint with the United Nations against the backdrop of Turkey's continued violations of Iraq's sovereignty, noting that severing economic relations with Turkey is the appropriate response to the violations." End / 25 H
