[rtl]Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadhel, confirmed today, Friday, that the holy Karbala governorate has been equipped for the first time with 1,700 megawatts.[/rtl]
[rtl]The ministry stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "Fadel visited the Khairat gas station, chaired a meeting of the station's officials, and congratulated them and the employees on the re-operation of the fourth unit in the station, which had been stopped due to technical problems."[/rtl]
[rtl]The Minister stressed that "operating this unit will provide the city of Karbala with an additional 100 megawatts," noting that "Karbala's share of energy increased during the current pilgrimage season to reach (1720) megawatts."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The governorate is being supplied with energy for the first time, compared to previous years, which enhances the stability of the electrical network in the Holy City."[/rtl]
