Waste of public money seized at the Safwan border crossing

{Umniah: Al Furat News} The Border Ports Authority announced, on Saturday, that it has stopped wasting public money as a result of manipulating fees.
The authority stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "the Safwan border port was able to control waste of public money in the value of customs and tax duties in the amount of fifteen million three hundred and seventy thousand Iraqi dinars."
She added, "The process resulted in the seizure of (5) tax receipts, and after the audit and compliance procedures, it was noticed that there was embezzlement and manipulation by the tax unit employee."
And she added, "A fundamentalist report of the violation was organized for the purpose of presenting it before the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal measures against the negligent."
