    The Director General of the Department of Retirement and Social Security for Workers at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Kholoud Hayran Al-Jabri, announced the launch of the electronic platform for optional insurance next week.

    Al-Jabri said, in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the electronic platform for optional insurance will be launched next week, through which it will be easy to apply and pay the subscription from home without the hassle of reviews," indicating that "this comes within the transition to e-government."

    Al-Jabri had previously confirmed that the Prime Minister supports the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and attaches great importance to the issue of companies and the private sector's commitment to the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers since the law was enacted in May 2023. Hence, his emphasis during his chairing of the Ministerial Council for the Economy meeting on the necessity of private sector companies' commitment to the Retirement and Social Security Law in order to expand their care in this sector and increase the number of insured persons. Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Asadi played an effective role in the decisions issued to protect workers. "

    Hairan pointed out that "supporting the private sector begins with protecting workers through the Retirement and Social Security Law, and the government has paid 95% of the registered worker's subscription to the social security, and the worker's feeling that he has social security and retirement motivates him and guarantees his future, which was limited to government employment and currently includes the private sector thanks to this law. Therefore, the legislation of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers is the greatest achievement in support of the private sector."
