    Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met on Tuesday in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei.[/size]
    [size=45]Earlier today, Al-Sudani arrived in the capital, Tehran, to participate in the inauguration of the Iranian president.[/size]
    [size=45]His media office said in a statement that Al-Sudani congratulated Khamenei, wishing continued prosperity for the Islamic Republic of Iran, its government and people, on the occasion of its election of a new president and overcoming the ordeal of the tragic accident that led to the death of the late President Ebrahim Raisi, the Foreign Minister and their companions.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister stressed the depth of relations between Iraq and Iran, and the importance of proceeding with the agreements concluded between the two countries, in a way that achieves common interests in all fields.[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Khamenei appreciated the efforts of the Iraqi government in securing the Arbaeen commemoration of Imam Hussein, facilitating the movement of millions of visitors, and providing their comfort and transportation requirements. He considered this great effort a feature of the generosity of the Iraqi people.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting reviewed the situation in the region, where both sides stressed the need to stop the aggression on Gaza, support efforts aimed at stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people, and prevent the expansion of the conflict regionally.[/size]
