Official and national figures and international diplomatic missions agreed, during the launch of the tenth anniversary of the National Day to Recognize the Yazidi Genocide, on the necessity of guaranteeing the rights of all components that suffered from ISIS terrorism. President of the Republic Abdul Latif Rashid said in a statement, "We salute with reverence and honor the martyrs and the great sacrifices made in confronting ISIS terrorism and thwarting its malicious plans to target the Yazidis and other Iraqis," stressing "the necessity of intensifying efforts and international coordination to uncover the fate of the remaining missing, and to hold the perpetrators accountable and bring them to justice to receive the punishment for their criminal acts." He pointed to "working on the return of all displaced Yazidis to the city of Sinjar, enhancing its security and stability, and providing the requirements of a decent life so that they can live in dignity and peace." In turn, Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani recalled in a tweet "the blatant violations and brutal practices committed against them by ISIS terrorist gangs that our Yazidi people and other components faced." Al-Sudani added that "our government continues to work on Guaranteeing the rights of all components that have suffered from terrorism, and diligently following up on the implementation of laws and legislation to provide justice to the victims, and continuing to rebuild their areas in order for all displaced persons to return. Our forces are still pursuing the remnants of terrorism where there is no escape for them. Meanwhile, the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, said during his participation in the commemoration conference: "A special parliamentary committee has been formed to follow up on the implementation of the provisions of the Yazidi Law No. 8 of 2021 in cooperation with the relevant government agencies, which is concerned with addressing the physical, psychological, social and material damage caused by ISIS crimes, stressing that this law includes Turkmen, Christian and Shabak survivors." Al-Mandalawi called for "the cooperation of the legislative and executive authorities to restore security and stability to their areas and rebuild them by securing infrastructure, basic services and livelihoods, and seeking to compensate them morally and materially, noting "the importance of working to remove those areas from all equations of differences and conflicts." In the same context, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Shakhwan Abdullah, in his speech at the conference, referred to the extent of the tragic tragedy that befell the Yazidis, when ISIS, the most brutal and ferocious terrorist organization known to the world, committed the most heinous crimes and massacres that exceeded all human boundaries and laws of humanity," stressing "the need to continue efforts And work with serious and effective steps through state institutions and in cooperation with civil organizations to solve problems, remove obstacles, achieve justice, establish human rights principles, and address the effects of these heinous crimes and genocide.” While the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called on the Yazidis to “adhere to their homeland and land,” urging the concerned parties to “accelerate the reconstruction of their areas and follow up on the file of missing Yazidi and Turkmen women and compensate and support the families of the victims.” For its part, the US Embassy renewed its commitment to all victims and survivors to continue its efforts on their behalf to achieve justice and help them recover, indicating that it has invested more than 500 million US dollars in particular to support the communities most affected by ISIS.
