The Victory Coalition renewed, on Monday, its confirmation of the withdrawal of all American forces from the country, stressing that Iraq has officially requested Washington to withdraw its military forces from the country.
The coalition’s spokesman, Aqil Al-Rudaini, told / Al-Maalouma / agency, “Our position is clear and firm on the necessity of the withdrawal of all foreign military forces, especially the American forces.”
He added that “Iraq did not need foreign military forces on its territory in light of the presence of Iraqi security forces capable of protecting Iraqi territory.”
He pointed out that “there is a previous parliamentary decision binding the government to withdraw the international coalition forces,” noting that “the withdrawal of foreign forces, especially the American ones, is one of the government’s tasks.” End / 25 H
