    The governor of Muthanna Ibrahim Mayali announced the start of the project of a unified national card is a pilot in the province early next month of March in preparation for the work of this project, officially starting the month of June of this year.
    He said the province were selected in addition to the provinces of Baghdad, Basra, Najaf, Erbil to work for the first phase of this project, which will ensure the creation of a unified database for all citizens, stressing that this card will compensate for the identity card and a certificate of citizenship card in addition to housing.
    And the governor of Muthanna that the Interior Ministry has contracted with a specialized German companies in the field of information technology for the implementation of this project, which would reduce red tape and provides accurate, tamper-proof data, indicating that the local government Muthanna will provide all supplies logistics to ensure the success of this project by providing the possibility for the teams of the Directorate of sex work as well as provide the necessary funds to complete this project on time.

    What concerns me on this article is the dates March and then June... I don't know about this?

    They had said an identity card would be established. What drew me in this thread was the hope and thought of a tied to the smart card. 306

    what if you use the card to make sure when you get oil shares that both your parents are iraqi?? and this card would be the very thing you need to get your share!

    Ok, that makes more since on why they had  presented recently the a need for identity, so not just by having the smart card, must have picture id too.  I forget a lot of times that they are  adopting the western culture. Now, the only reason this is needed in the way  you are presenting it is, MONEY (Budget and hcl hand in Hand) is about to flow. From weslin3's article the March and June may play a important timeline  then. Nice find and post weslin3... con
