Jaafari said that "Iraq has proved its goodwill and its commitment to maintaining the relations with Turkey through diplomatic channels followed after the violation by Turkish forces of Iraqi sovereignty," stressing said: Do not appease anyone at the expense of the sovereignty of Iraq, but we are committed to the relationship. "
The Foreign Minister, "the Turkish side's decision to impose visas on Iraqis wishing to visit Turkey surprising, and Iraq could work similarly," pointing out that "Iraq has been waiting for from the Turkish side, relieve stress and to draw closer to Iraq, but we see the opposite."
For his part, counting the Turkish ambassador to the decision to grant visas to the Iraqis through the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad does not mean that Turkey's refusal to receive them, explaining that this decision applied because considered Turkey a conduit for illegal immigration to Europe, "stressing that" this procedure the new obtaining Visa did not apply to Iraqis only but on all arrivals from the countries of the world to Turkey ".anthy
