Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of Diwaniya province accused the Ministry of Finance of punishing the employees of the Diwaniya Textile Factory by not paying their salaries for more than two months.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The employees of Diwaniya Textile Factory belong to this foundation which is within the Ministry of Industry under the self-financing system where all know that such foundations are stopping due to the variety of the foreign goods.”
“Those employees did not receive their salaries for more than two months where their salaries were limited without taking into consideration their hard living situation in Diwaniya,” he added.
He stressed the necessity of “Granting those employees their rights because some of them are in this foundation for more than 20 years and they depend on their salaries to make living.”
