General Company for Foodstuff Trading in the Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday for the continuation of the processing of sugar ration card items through the local product exclusively and by Union factory Babil province and across the country.
He said the company's director Kassem Hammoud Mansour in a ministry statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it today that "the plant has great potential in the sugar production outweigh the imported sugar and has a production capacity of up to 3,000 tons per day," adding that "the factory Union project under way to provide material for edible oil will be the General Company for trade food processing beginning in 2017 to rely on the domestic product of the subjects [sugar and cooking oil] to provide the ration card items. "
He said the "approach adopted by the ministry in reliance on the national product to provide a vocabulary of the ration and the closure of the import file helps to eliminate the scourge of corruption and closes the doors to corrupt people in the manipulation of the people's livelihood and that the ministry bless any sincere national effort in the Iraqi citizen service and raise the standard of living through job creation and infrastructure development. "
