    Face Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Hussein Allaibi on Saturday, the South Oil Company to invite specialized international companies to implement the project of sea water of five million barrels per day, and noted that the project includes construction of pipeline networks from the Gulf to most of the oil fields in southern Iraq, while pointing out that the project will provide the necessary amounts of water for the purposes of water injected into oil fields, and industrial needs.
    The Oil Ministry said in a statement received (range Press), a copy of it, that "the oil minister Jabbar Ali Hussein Allaibi presided at the ministry headquarters in Baghdad, today, a meeting to discuss the production plan for 2017, in the presence of deputy ministers and general managers of companies and oil formations."
    He drew Allaibi, according to the statement, "South Oil Company to invite specialized international companies to carry out sea water project is one of the strategic vital projects important to sustain the development of oil fields in southern Iraq projects and card five million barrels per day," noting that "the initiation implemented in two stages and by 2.5 million barrels for each stage. "
    He Allaibi, "This project includes the implementation of systems and treatment plants, as well as D pipeline networks to transport seawater from the Gulf to most of the oil fields in southern Iraq, including Basra, Maysan and Dhi Qar."
    For his part, the ministry spokesman, Assem Jihad, said "technical and economic studies and designs for the project of sea water has been prepared by a specialized international companies," he said. "This project is an important strategic projects that will put an end to the problem of water shortage in the fields oil and through the provision of the necessary amounts of water for the purposes of water injected into oil fields as well as to meet other industrial needs and to achieve smooth high in the perpetuation of the national production of crude oil. "
