Oil Minister Ali Jabbar Hussein Allaibi major Egyptian oil companies to participate actively in the implementation of investment and development of oil and gas industry projects.
According to a statement of the ministry, "Economy News" received a copy of it, that "the oil minister met in Cairo with a number of major Egyptian companies working in the field of oil and gas heads" and called for "their contribution to the participation in the oil and gas industry development in Iraq," praising the "competence and experience that Egyptian-owned companies in the drilling sectors, filter, gas distribution and power transmission, pipes and technology, training and infrastructure, among others. "
He added, "The ministry is keen to strengthen and develop relations with the brothers in Egypt and broaden the participation of Egyptian companies in the implementation of various projects and that the ministry is working to encourage companies to invest and establish joint coalitions and partnerships fact serves the common interests."
He praised the oil minister, "Egypt's role and its support for Iraq's government and people," adding that "the oil and gas industry in Iraq evolve dramatically and fast and we have ambitious plans to invest in gas because Iraq possessed precautions large gaseous and wealth and there are many areas where Egyptian companies to participate," he said "Egypt has a wide experience in the gas industry and other sectors companies."
The Iraq and Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of development of the oil and gas industry, during a visit by Egyptian Oil Minister Tariq Mulla to Iraq in the month of October last, and included a memorandum of cooperation between the Egyptian and Iraqi oil companies in the areas of drilling, refining, distribution, export and training staffs technical and engineering to contribute to the development of the Iraqi oil sector.
